You Shall Know Them by Their Fruit
The Bible teaches that we are known by the fruit we produce - love, joy, patience, etc. . This chapter asks a different question:
What is the fruit of what you are experiencing? What is its effect? Could the enemy be actively trying to get you off task? Have you come to this major awakening that you have an enemy? Do you factor that into the way you evaluate your daily events?
If we judge things by their fruit maybe we should then ask - What isn't going well in our life? What will be the fruit if it continues to not go well?
Do It Now
Regarding spiritual attack, pray now.
Do you try to ignore it or maybe not even recognize it or dodge it? Can you relate? What has been harassing you lately? Can you name it? Could it be discouragement, unbelief, anger or something else? Stop and name it, then ask Jesus what is set against you today. Pray like the prayer on page 55, second paragraph. If you don't experience relief in the thirty minutes or so pray again. According to Eldredge, Satan may be testing our resolve.
